2. We adjust the spacing and size of the pinholes to match each individual scar.

In typical procedures, a spacing of 1-2mm is the standard.

However, depending on the scar's condition, the spacing may be widened to 3mm or more, or the procedure may be performed more densely.

Our medical team directly confirms the exact location, shape, and thickness of the scar, then adjusts the pinhole spacing and depth accordingly for the procedure.


3. We precisely design the treatment depth, targeting either the upper or lower dermis.

Depending on the treatment area, we determine whether to stimulate superficially or penetrate deeper.

In some cases, only the upper dermis is stimulated,

and in other cases, we may access the collagen layer in the lower dermis.

The scope of treatment is individually determined based on the professional judgment of our medical team.

The New Skin Laser (Pinhole Technique) is a specialized method of scar management.

This procedure uses CO₂ or Erbium-YAG laser to create micro-holes at 1-3mm intervals within raised scars. The principle is to break the connections of excessively proliferated collagen tissue.

Through this process, the scar structure is loosened, and over time, the scar can be expected to gradually flatten, leading to improvement.


This procedure can penetrate deeper than typical Fraxel lasers. Rather than simply abrading the scar surface, it accesses deep into the dermal layer, which can be particularly helpful for improving papular or hypertrophic scars.
